Terms and Conditions

1. Information on how to claim this Offer for the specified Technics products (as defined below) forms part of the Terms and Conditions (“Terms”). Participation in the offer is deemed to constitute acceptance of these Terms and Conditions.
2. The Offer will be open from 12:00am (AEDT) on 1st November 2023 and will close on 11:59pm (AEDT) on 31st December 2023 (“Offer Period”). Only purchases made between these dates qualify for the trade-in Offer.
3. The offer is open to Australian residents. Employees (and their immediate families) of the Promoter and agencies associated with this promotion are ineligible to claim, (“Claimant”). Immediate family means any of the following: spouse, ex-spouse, de-facto spouse, child, or step-child (whether natural or by adoption), parent, step-parent, grandparent, step-grandparent, uncle, aunt, niece, nephew, brother, sister, step-brother, step-sister or 1st cousin.
4. Claimants under 18 years old must have parental/guardian approval to claim and further, the parent/guardian of the Claimant must read and consent to these Terms and Conditions. Parents/guardians may be required by the Promoter to enter into a further agreement as evidence of consent to the minor submitting a claim in this offer.
5. The Offer is only applicable for the following Technics categories: Amplifiers, Speakers (pair), Components, and Turntables (“Eligible Technics Category”).
6. Claimants must trade in any product (working or non-working) that matches the description of an Eligible Technics Category, (“Trade-In Product”) at one of the Participating Retailers.
7. If the Trade-In Product is deemed eligible, the participant may select a new Eligible Technics Product of the same eligible Technics category to purchase and receive a 15% discount off the Recommended Retail Price (RRP) of the new Eligible Technics Product. The discount will be applied at the time of purchase.
8. Trade-in product of an Eligible Technical Category can only be made with respect to the specified Technics models listed below (“Eligible Technics Product”):

9. Trade-In product must match the same Eligible Technics Category of the Eligible Technics Product in order to participate in offer (i.e Trade in a turntable in order to redeem discount for an eligible Technics turntable).
10. The Offer is only valid on retail purchases at the selected Participating Retailers listed below (“Participating Retailers”):

11. The discount cannot be combined with any other ongoing promotions or discounts.
12. The discount is not exchangeable for cash or any other form of compensation.
13. Only one trade in claim per transaction is permitted during the Offer period.
14. The Claimant declares that the Trade In item(s) are their own property and are unencumbered and must provide accurate and current address, telephone number and identification details in order to participate in the Offer
15. All products traded in become the property of the Participating Retailer after the claimant concludes the purchase transaction.
16. Qualifying purchases must be finalised and paid for in full by the end date of the Offer Period.
17. The Participating Retailer and/or the Promoters decision is final on all matters and no correspondence will be entered into.
18. This Offer is subject to stock availability at Participating Retailers.
19. The Participating Retailers and/or the Promoter reserve the right to refuse any trade-in if the product does not meet the eligibility criteria as set out in these Terms and Conditions.
20. If this offer is interfered with in any way or is not capable of being conducted as reasonably anticipated due to any reason beyond the reasonable control of the Promoter, the Promoter reserves the right, in its sole discretion, to the fullest extent permitted by law (a) to disqualify any Claimant; or (b) to modify, suspend, terminate or cancel the offer, as appropriate.
21. The Promoter and/or the Participating Retailer collects personal information (“PI”) in order to conduct the promotion and may, for this purpose, disclose such PI to third parties, including but not limited to agents, contractors, service providers, and, as required, to Australian regulatory authorities. Entry is conditional on providing this PI. The Promoter will also use and handle PI as set out in its Privacy Policy, which can be viewed at www.panasonic.com/au/privacy-policy. The Privacy Policy also contains information about how claimants may opt out, access, update or correct their PI, how claimants may complain about a breach of the Australian Privacy Principles or any other applicable law and how those complaints will be dealt with. All entries become the property of the Promoter. Unless otherwise indicated by the Promoter, the Promoter may disclose claimant’s PI entities outside of Australia (for a list of the countries, see the Promoter’s Privacy Policy), and cannot guarantee that any overseas recipient will not breach the Australian Privacy Principles. By entering the promotion claimants’ consent to the overseas transfer on these terms as permitted by the Australian Privacy Principles and agree that the Promoter is not liable in this regard.
22. The Promoter reserves the right, at any time, to verify the validity of claims and Claimant’s (including a claimant’s identity, age and place of residence) and reserves the right, in its sole discretion, to disqualify any individual who the Promoter has reason to believe has breached any of these Terms and Conditions, tampered with the claim process or engaged in any unlawful or other improper misconduct calculated to jeopardise fair and proper conduct of the offer. Errors and omissions may be accepted at the Promoter’s discretion. Failure by the Promoter to enforce any of its rights at any stage does not constitute a waiver of those rights. The Promoter’s legal rights to recover damages or other compensation from such an offender are reserved.
23. Nothing in these terms and conditions limits, excludes, or modifies or purports to limit, exclude or modify the statutory consumer guarantees as provided under the Competition and Consumer Act, as well as any other implied warranties under the ASIC Act or similar consumer protection laws in the State and Territories of Australia (“Non-Excludable Guarantees”). Except for any liability that cannot by law be excluded, including the Non-Excludable Guarantees, the Promoter (including its respective officers, employees, and agents) excludes all liability (including negligence), for any personal injury; or any loss or damage (including loss of opportunity); whether direct, indirect, special, or consequential, arising in any way out of the offer.
24. Claimants are responsible for any additional costs associated with the purchase of an Eligible Technics Product, including but not limited to taxes, delivery charges, and installation fees.
25. The Promoter is Panasonic Australia Pty Limited (ABN 83 001 592 187) of Level 1, 1 Innovation Road, Macquarie Park, NSW 2113, Australia in conjunction with Participating Retailers.
